Andrew Gregory

Andrew is a qualified Town Planner and since 2013 has been Director of Planning Transport and Environment at Cardiff City Council. Andrew has worked in some of the most socially deprived and challenging urban areas in the UK, his drive being to change cities into places and believes housing associations are the instruments to effect this change. Some of Andrew’s core skills and expertise are in regional planning, development, environment, sustainability, transport initiatives, social regeneration, placemaking, estate and housing development and tackling social exclusion and equity issues. Andrew has lived in South Wales for 30 years and believes he can bring to the association a holistic view on how to join up planning, housing, transport and environmental knowledge, skills and experience to support the association in creating a vibrant and sustainable community. Andrew understands the significant issues that Newport faces and is passionate about social inclusion, wellbeing, housing/estate and city regeneration.
