Sarah Croft

Sarah is a Refugee Advocacy Manager at The Sanctuary Projects, working with refugees in Newport to help build communities, social activities and provide aid for support services and education. Sarah has a good insight into Newport communities and the challenges faced. Sarah has experience of Newport’s communities, homelessness and housing, refugees and developing housing solutions for refugees. Sarah has worked in Newport for 30 years and is passionate about Newport, wants to see it flourish and believes it has many strengths, along with its rich history and culture. Sarah feels Newport’s diversity has yet to be fully championed and celebrated, and believes the association is well placed to play a role in ensuring that diversity is embraced and celebrated through its services, colleagues, communities and EDI principles and commitments. Sarah is looking forward to being part of an organisation that has a dynamic, clear strategy to address the need for new homes and regenerating existing communities.
