Cindy Adkins began their work experience in 1979 with the USMC as a Sgt E-5 MATCU Communication Tech, repairing and replacing electronic components. Cindy later worked as a Communications Dispatcher for the St. Charles County Sheriff's Department and Frontenac Police and Fire. Cindy then transitioned to the United States Postal Service as a Mail Handler/Clerk/Letter Carrier. Subsequently, they worked as a Software Engineer at Enterprise Rent-A-Car before becoming an IT Manager at Incite Solutions. Their career then led their to Newport, where they held various roles such as Business Analyst, Business Systems Engineer, Quality Assurance Team Lead, and currently, the Principal Software Quality Analyst. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in software quality analysis, team leadership, technical management, and client relationship management.

Cindy Adkins completed a Bachelor of Arts in Management Information Systems (MIS) at Lindenwood University from 1997 to 2000. Cindy then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance from Lindenwood University between 2002 and 2004.
