Emily Halphide

Emily Halphide currently serves as a School Librarian at Newport Mesa Unified School District, a position held since May 2023. Prior experience includes working as a Library Assistant for the City of Newport Beach from May 2015 to August 2023, where responsibilities encompassed customer service, research, developing youth engagement programs, and creating social media content. Additional roles include Senior Guard and Swim Instructor/Pool Lifeguard at various organizations, and a member of the Alcala Review Literary Magazine, where Emily contributed to reviewing submissions and hosting writing workshops. As a Writing Center Tutor at the University of San Diego, Emily supported fellow students in enhancing their writing skills. Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of San Diego, a Copyediting Certificate from UC San Diego Extended Studies, and attendance at John Cabot University in 2018.
