Leona Hammill serves as General Counsel at NewQuest Properties since July 2015, having previously held the roles of Assistant General Counsel and Associate Counsel within the same organization. Prior to NewQuest, Leona worked as Real Estate Legal Counsel for Baker Hughes from March 2013 to June 2015, where responsibilities included representing the company in acquisition, disposition, development, and leasing of properties across the United States and Canada. Earlier legal experience includes being an Attorney at Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. from September 2006 to February 2013, focusing on various property types in real estate transactions. Notable achievements include representing a REIT in the disposition of over $500 million in hotel assets across multiple states. Leona holds a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University.
