Frederic D. Carter Jr.

Frederic D. Carter Jr. has a strong background in cyber security and risk management. Frederic D. is currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at NewRez LLC since July 2020. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2020, they worked at Fiserv in various roles, including Director of Cyber Security Incident Response Team and Director of Cyber Security & Information Security. In these positions, they were responsible for building and managing the cyber security infrastructure, operationalizing cyber security functions, and ensuring customer security requirements were implemented. Before joining Fiserv, Carter held the position of Director of Cyber Security at Milestone Systems, Inc. from 2007 to 2016. Here, they developed information security strategic plans and performed information security assessments for clients. Additionally, they served as the Vice President of Risk Management at MILA from 2001 to 2007. Overall, Carter has extensive experience in cyber security, risk management, and building and leading teams in the field.

Frederic D. Carter Jr. obtained a BBA degree in Finance from Austin Peay State University, completing their education from 1989 to 1994. Frederic D. also holds certifications in CISM, ArcSight, Certified Cloud Security Professional, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), PCIP Payment Card Industry Professional, Splunk, and Symantec DLP.
