Michele Meyer, former President & SVP at General Mills, has over 30 years of leadership experience in consumer packaged goods, including P&L management and brand strategy across category-leading and developing business units.
Michele retired from General Mills in April 2019 where she was the President and SVP of the $2 billion Snacks Operating Unit. In this role, Meyer led Snacks to market share growth, driving mid-single-digit top and bottom-line growth through new product launches, strong advertising, breakthrough marketing, digital & E-Commerce plans. Across her tenure at General Mills, Michele was President of Small Planet Foods, as well as the Meals Operating Units, and has led multiple M&A initiatives, including the acquisitions of Larabar, Food Should Taste Good and Annie’s Brands.
Since retirement, Michele has sat on the Board of Directors for GNC Holdings where she is on the Compensation & Organization Committee and Nominating & Governance Committee. In addition, she is a Board Trustee for the SPOON Foundation, a nonprofit committed to the feeding and nutrition of orphans and foster children, serving on both their Executive Committee and Development & Communications Committee.
Michele received her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from The McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
