Dr. Mehmet Yildiz

Dr. Mehmet Yildiz has a wealth of experience in the technology field, spanning over 40 years. Dr. Mehmet began their career as a Principal Technical Consultant at Business Resolutions Australia in 1995 before moving on to become an Enterprise Systems Specialist at Siemens Ltd in 1997. In 1999, they joined IBM as an Executive IT Architect and served in various roles within the company for over two decades, ultimately retiring in 2020. Dr. Yildiz's expertise in IT architecture and design was acknowledged by The Open Group, who certified him as a Distinguished Enterprise Architect. Following their retirement, they established Digitalmehmet.com as an independent architecture and design consultancy, where they currently serve as the Chief Technology Officer for multiple clients. Dr. Mehmet is also the founder and editor-in-chief of ILLUMINATION Integrated Publications on Medium, which consists of 10 integrated publications covering a wide range of topics and boasting a substantial readership and writer base. In addition, Dr. Yildiz joined the News Break creator program as a Senior Technology Writer in 2020. Dr. Mehmet Yildiz's education history includes obtaining a Professional Doctorate in Cognitive Science, Business, and Information Technology from RMIT University, which took place from 1995 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed a Masters Degree in Educational Computing from Monash University from 1992 to 1995. In 1991 to 1992, they pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Management at the University of Melbourne. In addition to their academic qualifications, Dr. Yildiz has also earned various certifications and recognitions from IBM and other institutions, including being an IBM Senior Inventor, having certifications in Applied Data Science with Python and Big Data Foundations, and being a member of the IBM Academy of Technology.
