Jiali Huang

Jiali Huang has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles.

Currently, Jiali is employed at News Break as a TLM & Staff Software Engineer, a position they have held since March 2021.

From 2020 to 2021, Jiali worked as a Staff Software Engineer at 虨虰集团.

Prior to that, Jiali worked at Uber from 2016 to 2019. They held the positions of Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer (Eng II & Senior) during their time there. In the role of Software Engineer, Jiali contributed to the Uber Risk/Fraud Platform Team, specifically working on the Streaming Feature Computation Project. They developed a streaming computation platform using technologies such as Kafka, Samza, and Cassandra, focusing on high throughput and robustness.

Before joining Uber, Jiali worked at Yahoo from 2014 to 2016. They served as a Software Engineer (IC2 & IC3) on the anti-spam team. At Yahoo, Jiali built a Realtime Ham/Spam Vote Processing System, replacing the original deprecated system. This system was based on technologies like Storm, HBase, and Sherpa, handling high volumes of data daily.

In addition to their professional experience, Jiali also worked as a Teaching Assistant at New York University from 2012 to 2014, supporting various courses and students.

Jiali started their career as a Software Engineering Intern at Mashwork in 2013, where they built a tweet filter system using Java, Neo4j, Lucene, Netty, and WikiDump.

Before that, Jiali worked as a Research Assistant at Harbin Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2012, specifically in the VISUAL INTELLIGENCE LABORATORY.

Jiali Huang completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science from Harbin Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2012. Following that, from 2012 to 2014, Jiali pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science at New York University's Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences.
