Atif Ghafoor

Atif Ghafoor has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Atif currently serves as the Head of Commercial Data Engineering at News Corp Australia since 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a Technical Lead Data Platform at News Corp Australia from March 2022 to September 2023.

Before joining News Corp Australia, Atif worked at Zain Iraq from 2017 to 2022, where they held the position of Manager Data Engineering. At Telenor, Atif held the position of Financial Services Planning Executive from 2010 to 2011. In this role, they acted as a bridge between business and technical teams, gathering requirements, planning and managing the implementation of mobile banking releases, and integrating mobile banking with the company's Business Support Systems.

At Teradata Pakistan, Atif worked as a PS Consultant and Solution Architect for Data Warehouse, Revenue Assurance, and Real-Time Solutions from 2007 to 2010. Their responsibilities included analyzing business and user needs, developing documentation, designing business processes, generating reports, and developing systems and software.

Atif Ghafoor obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Sciences from the International Islamic University, Islamabad.
