Ruth Allen

Ruth Allen is Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for News Corp. Ms. Allen leads strategy and implementation of the Company’s People, ESG and Philanthropy initiatives.

Ms. Allen joined News Corp in 2018 where she served as Chief People Officer for News Corp Australia. In this leadership position she oversaw key projects including the company’s business transformation and the reshaping of the employee experience.

Prior to News Corp, Ms. Allen held the dual role of General Manager Capability & Culture and General Manager People & Culture at Origin Energy, where she worked to redefine the company’s purpose and values while also leading a rebuild of the Integrated Gas business.

Before Origin Energy, Ruth worked as a transformation consultant at Telstra for 5 years and held various senior people and organizational development roles throughout the construction sector.

Ruth has a Masters degree in Organizational Psychology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
