John Parsons

John Parsons has extensive work experience in software development and engineering. John is currently working at News UK as a Principal Engineer, where their responsibilities include presenting new AWS solutions and React components for national newspapers. Prior to this, John worked at William Hill as a Lead Developer/SETL, where they co-authored architecture solution design documents and led a team for full-stack development of self-service betting terminals and EPOS systems. John also has experience as a Software Engineer at SKY UK LIMITED, a Lead Java Engineer at Booktopia, and a Java Portal Developer/GIS Developer at Optus. Additionally, John has worked as a Senior GIS Developer at Open Spatial, a Senior Java Developer at HPI Ltd, and a Research Assistant at the University of Leeds. John also has experience as a Java Developer at UBS Investment Bank and various start-ups. Throughout their career, John has gained expertise in technologies such as AWS, React, Java, Spring MVC, REST, jQuery, and more.
