Amanda Bratten

Amanda Bratten currently serves as the Director of Learning Design at Newsela, a position held since January 2025. Prior to this role, Amanda was the Vice President of Content and Curriculum at Propello, where responsibilities included overseeing content product creation and mentoring teams to achieve timely program launches. Amanda has extensive experience in editorial roles, having worked as a Content Editor at McGraw Hill and Achieve3000, and as a Senior Assessment Development Specialist at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, where management of editorial teams and development of assessments were key responsibilities. Educational qualifications include a Post Baccalaureate Program in Teacher Education and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and English from Michigan State University.
