Jose Montes de Oca

Jose Montes de Oca has had a varied and extensive career in the tech industry. In 2008, they began as a Teacher Assistant at Universidad Centroccidental "Lisandro Alvarado". In 2011, they joined Google as a Technical Solutions Engineer for the Google Cloud Platform. In 2013, they co-founded ProtoQik. From 2015-2018, they were a Lead Software Engineer and Android Engineer at Nuzzel, which was acquired by Scroll. In 2018, they joined AngelList as a Product Engineer. In 2019, they co-founded Newslit and Code for Venezuela. In 2020, they became an Advisor for Product Engineering at Merthin.

Jose Montes de Oca obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the Universidad Centro Occidental 'Lisandro Alvarado' between 2005 and 2010. In 2009, they also attended Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana to study Computer Science. In 2014, they completed an Android Bootcamp at CodePath.
