Jeff Young

Jeff Young is an experienced journalist specializing in environmental and sustainability issues. Currently serving as the environment and sustainability editor for Newsweek's "Better Planet," Young has previously held pivotal roles such as managing editor at Louisville Public Media, communications officer at Pew Environment Group, and host and senior correspondent for PRI's Living on Earth. Education includes a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard University, which focused on energy policy and environmental economics. Young's career also features work as bureau chief at West Virginia Public Broadcasting, where investigative reporting highlighted significant safety failures in the mining industry. A graduate of Marshall University with degrees in journalism and political science, Young has also contributed to academia as an adjunct professor, ensuring a link between students and public broadcasting.
