Thom Canalichio

Thom Canalichio has extensive work experience in various roles within the media and publishing industry. Thom began their career in 2005 at Silverchair, where they worked as an Editor, Quality Assurance Specialist, and Semantic Metadata Specialist. In this role, they performed advanced proofreading, editorial, and copyediting work on scientific and medical publishing projects. Additionally, they were responsible for applying tags to content for relevant search results and indexing. Thom worked on over 60 titles in multiple formats and languages. In 2007, Thom joined Newswise as a Client Services Manager and Media Outreach Director. Thom later advanced to the role of Chief Operations Officer in April 2019.

Thom Canalichio earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of Virginia, where they attended from 1999 to 2003.
