Marise Plater has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Marise began their career in 1992 as the Head of Audio Visual at the Police Staff College Bramshill. Marise then worked as a Technical Demonstrator at UCE Birmingham from 1995 to 1999. Marise also worked as an Avid Trainer and Demonstrator at Quadrant from 1997 to 1999.

In 1999, they joined Sony Broadcast and Professional as a Product Development specialist. After leaving Sony in 2002, Marise worked as a Business Development Manager at CVP from 2003 to 2005. Shortly after, they joined Video Source as a BDM for a year.

In 2005, Marise founded Definitely Red Productions Ltd and served as the Director until 2009. During this time, they also worked as a Freelance Business Development Manager, primarily focusing on technology, sales, and product development.

From 2012 to 2018, Marise worked as a Business Development Manager at Holdan Ltd, where they were responsible for collaborating with value-added resellers in the UK and Benelux. Marise oversaw the rollout of Apace's Octopa software and the launch of the new Proxsys MA LTO archiving solution.

Marise'smost recent role is as a Regional Sales Manager at NewTek since 2018. In this position, Marise is responsible for driving revenue growth in the UK, Nordic, and Baltic regions. Marise is passionate about giving storytellers a voice through video.

Marise Plater attended Edinburgh Napier University from 1976 to 1978 but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study during this time. Prior to that, they attended St Marys Bathgate from 1968 to 1974, again without completing a degree or specifying a field of study. Marise also attended Namhuga from 1965 to 1968, where they obtained a Primary degree. In addition to their formal education, Marise Plater obtained a certification in Managing Your Time from LinkedIn in August 2022.
