Dr. Martin Riedel

Dr. Martin Riedel currently serves as the Head of Drone Development and Concept Design at Newton Dynamics GmbH since October 2023. With extensive experience in engineering and design consulting at MRED since June 2010, Dr. Riedel has also held significant roles at KUKA from November 2012 to October 2023, including Vice President of the Technology & Innovation Center and Head of Advanced Development, focusing on mechatronics and kinematics. Earlier, Dr. Riedel contributed to the field as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at IGMR - RWTH Aachen University from June 2003 to October 2012, and completed doctoral studies in Mechanical Engineering and Robotics at RWTH Aachen University between 2006 and 2013, following a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Mechanical Engineering and Product Development from the same institution.
