Blair Carter

Blair Carter, PhD, is a distinguished agronomist and consultant with extensive experience in the cannabis industry and academia. As the co-founder and chief scientist at NorCal Cannabis Company since June 2015, Blair has played an integral role in advancing agricultural practices. Additionally, Blair serves on the board of advisors for both NewTropic and Conception Nurseries and is an adjunct professor at Santa Rosa Junior College, focusing on cannabis ethnobotany and horticulture. Previous leadership roles include chief agronomy officer at Soma Rosa Farms and founder of Alchemical Earth Designs, Inc. Blair holds a PhD in Integral Ecology with a concentration in Ethnobotany, as well as a MA in Integral Ecology and a bachelor's degree in Ecopsychology & Wilderness Leadership.
