Sithembiso Khwela

Sithembiso Khwela has a diverse and extensive work experience. Sithembiso is currently working at Newzroom Afrika since 2021, where they started as a Studio Cameraman Intern at Summit TV in 2000 and worked their way up to become the Technical Director & Vision Mixer. Sithembiso then joined ETV in 2005, starting as a Graphic Designer & On air Operator and eventually became the GM; Group Technical Operations. At Newzroom Afrika, they have held various management roles, including Technical Production Operations Manager and Technical Resources Manager, overseeing staff, enhancing operational success, and managing budgets.

Sithembiso Khwela has a diverse education history. In 1994, they obtained a Senior Certificate in Commercial Studies from Sibusisiwe Comprehensive High School. Following this, they attended Durban University of Technology from 1997 to 2000 and earned a National Diploma in Video Technology. In 2010 to 2011, Khwela obtained a Certificate in Conduct Outcomes-based Assessment from the Assessment College of South Africa. In the same year, they also completed a Management Essentials Programme and obtained a Certificate from Astrotech. Additionally, in October 2020, Khwela obtained a certification in The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing from Google Digital Skills For Africa.
