Filipe Fonseca Silva

Filipe Fonseca Silva is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the mining sector, currently serving as Mining Strategy Manager at Nexa Resources since March 2018. In this role, Filipe leads mining transformation and operational turnaround projects, oversees the design and implementation of operational management models, and develops long-term strategic plans integrating budget cycles for units in Brazil and Peru. Responsibilities also include CAPEX allocation and optimization, managing strategic business risks, and supporting M&A evaluations. Prior to this, Filipe worked at AngloGold Ashanti for over a decade in various financial and operational roles, including Financial Coordinator, where responsibilities encompassed operational performance management and the execution of an Operational Excellence program. Filipe holds an MBA in Project and Business Management and a certificate in Leading with Finance from Harvard Business School Online, among other qualifications.
