Sarah Kessel's work experience begins in 2004 at Intertek Laboratories Inc., where they worked as a Project Analyst. In this role, they designed and validated cell-based assays and developed quantitative ligand binding assays. Sarah also gained GMP/GLP certification and evaluated clinical patient samples for FDA reporting.
In 2007, Sarah joined Cyntellect as a Research Associate III. Here, they designed and validated new cell-based assays and analyzed commercial fluorescent reagents. Sarah specifically worked on designing kits for apoptosis, cell viability, and cell cycle assays.
Sarah then moved on to Brooks Life Sciences in 2012, where they held the position of Applications Scientist & Lab Manager. Sarah played a key role in designing and evaluating assays for imaging instruments, with a focus on 2D and 3D cell-based proliferation and viability experiments. Sarah also provided training on new assay imaging applications and designed validation procedures for new assays.
Since 2014, Sarah has been working at Nexcelom Bioscience. Starting as a Senior Product Application Scientist & Lab Manager, they determined project scopes and conducted experiments for new cell-based assay applications. Sarah also performed quality reviews and evaluations for various imaging assays. In their most recent role as Project Manager, Training & Development, Sarah provides training operations support and program management. Sarah develops effective training programs that increase customer engagement and employee product knowledge, ultimately boosting company sales and productivity. Sarah also provides course development, delivery, evaluation, and cost management.
Sarah Kessel pursued their undergraduate studies from 1994 to 1997 at Michigan State University College of Natural Science, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology. In terms of additional certifications, Sarah completed the following courses on LinkedIn: "Learning Microsoft Project" in January 2022, "Project Management Foundations" in December 2021, "Leadership Strategies for Women" in April 2020, and "Learning Data Governance" in April 2020.
