Geoff Baldwin

VP, Design & Construction at NexCore Group

Geoff Baldwin is currently the VP of Design & Construction at NexCore Group. Prior to this, they were a Healthcare Project Manager at Layton Construction from January 2015 to March 2018. There, they managed the Presbyterian St. Luke's Patient Unit Renovations, which was a 25 million dollar project. Geoff was also responsible for performing buyouts of owner requested alternates, maintaining the project budget, negotiating and verifying change order pricing with subcontractors, drafting and executing owner pay applications, issuing subcontractor payments, leading monthly OAC meetings and weekly hospital coordination meetings, and developing and implementing an ICRA plan for containment around the active hospital during construction.

Before their time at Layton Construction, Geoff was the Assistant Project Manager at Sun Behavioral Health Facility in Columbus, OH from January 2016 to January 2017. There, they worked with the pre-construction team and owners representative on project buyout, led on procurement of kitchen equipment vendor/installer and mason post buyout, maintained the change order log and presented it to the owner on a weekly basis, drafted and executed owner pay applications, developed and maintained job-site document control measures, generated and issued subcontractor change orders, and developed a BIM 360 IPAD bar-code room recognition program for the on-site team. Geoff also assisted the superintendent with daily field coordination.

Geoff Baldwin graduated from Grand Junction High School in 2009 and went on to study at Colorado State University. Geoff earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and Economics, graduating with honors.
