Carlo Gozzelino

Dr Carlo Gozzelino has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Dr Carlo currently serves as the Head of Group IT Transformation Office at Nexi Group since May 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Head of IT Spending & Vendor Management at Nexi Group from October 2018 to April 2022.

Before joining Nexi Group, Dr Carlo Gozzelino co-founded iStarter in July 2012 and served as an Equity Partner until December 2020. iStarter is a top European angel-led accelerator that assists fast-growing startups in scaling up internationally.

Dr Carlo Gozzelino also worked as a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) from December 2015 to September 2018.

Prior to their time at BCG, they worked at Deutsche Bank as an Assistant Vice President from August 2007 to November 2015. In this role, they gained expertise in technology project and portfolio management, supporting the evolution and development of retail banking across EMEA. Dr Carlo focused on project portfolio management, cost controlling, IT sourcing strategy, and digital transformation.

Dr Carlo also served as an Invited Researcher at Ecole Polytechnique de Tours from September 2006 to December 2006, and as a Consultant at DIGITEC from March 2004 to June 2004.

Dr Carlo Gozzelino completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management, Economics & Industrial Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Industrial Engineering and Management from Politecnico di Torino, from 2004 to 2007. Dr Carlo also holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, from 2001 to 2004.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Dr Gozzelino also has several certifications. These include ITIL v3 Intermediate (Service Transition) from APM Group, obtained in April 2010, and CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) from the Project Management Institute, obtained in September 2008. Dr Carlo also holds two professional certifications, namely "Esame di Stato - Abilitazione all'albo di Ingegneria dell'Informazione" obtained from Politecnico di Torino in an unspecified year, and "Esame di Stato - Abilitazione all'albo di Ingegneria Industriale" obtained from Politecnico di Torino in an unspecified year.
