Magnus Barnell has a strong background in finance and analysis, with experience in various leadership roles. Magnus is currently working as the Head of Finance Transformation, Planning and Control at Nexi Group since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Group FP&A at Nets Group from December 2020 to February 2023. From 2014 to 2020, Magnus worked at Maersk Drilling, starting as the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis and later taking on the role of Head of Commercial Intelligence. During their time at Maersk Drilling, they were responsible for financial analysis, forecasting, investment advice, and market analysis. Magnus also managed the company's project portfolio and played a key role in the IPO. Magnus has experience in developing and implementing financial tools and software, as well as leading innovation in financial business model development. Prior to Maersk Drilling, they worked as the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at various Maersk subsidiaries and as a Controller at Coop Trading. Magnus is skilled in pricing strategies, market intelligence, and strategic planning, and has successfully built market outlook models using advanced analytics.
Magnus Barnell began their education in 2004 at Lund University School of Economics and Management, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Finance. Magnus completed this program in 2008. In 2008, Magnus furthered their education at Lund University School of Economics and Management, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Corporate and Financial Management in 2009. Later on, in 2013, Magnus attended DTU Business, where they pursued a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Leadership. The program specialized in Corporate Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management and was completed in 2014.
