Aylwin Fernando has a diverse work experience in the visual effects and computer graphics industry. Aylwin started their career in 2011 as a Creative Director and VFx Supervisor at Ballet Inc., where they worked on interactive and traditional media projects, collaborating directly with directors, studios, and agencies on feature films, television, and commercials.

Aylwin then worked at various companies, including Goldtooth Creative, where they served as an On-Set Supervisor, 2D Supervisor, and Junior Unity Developer, managing the compositing department and providing on-set supervision for AAA game cinematics, trailers, and pitches. At Mainframe Studios, they worked as a 3D Lighting Supervisor, overseeing the lighting process for projects.

Aylwin also held roles as a Senior Unreal Finisher at BRON Studios and a Senior 3D Lighting Artist at NEXODUS. Aylwin worked as a 3D Lighting Lead and 2D Compositing Lead at PIXOMONDO, where they were responsible for creating lighting rigs, compositing shots, and developing templates and tools to aid in the production process.

In 2021, Aylwin joined NEXODUS Cooperative as an Unreal Tech Artist, CG Generalist, and CG Supervisor. Aylwin is currently working at Atmos Labs, Inc. as a Senior Visual Effects Supervisor. Their experiences include a wide range of responsibilities and expertise in various aspects of visual effects and computer graphics.

Aylwin Fernando attended Sheridan College from 1999 to 2003. During this time, they pursued a degree in Media Arts with a specialization in Film, Television, Arts, and Animation.
