Matthew Steidl

Matthew Steidl has a diverse work experience in the field of visual effects and animation. Matthew worked as a Visual Effects Supervisor and Senior Technical Director at NEXODUS Cooperative and Encore Hollywood respectively. Matthew also served as a Lecturer at California State University, Long Beach, where they taught courses on 3D animation and digital media production. Matthew has also worked at Method Studios as a Digital Compositor and at Stereo D as a Stereoscopic Depth Artist. Matthew has freelanced for Blind as a CG Animator and worked as a Camera Layout TD at Rhythm & Hues, where they created camera animation for VFX sequences. In addition, Matthew has experience as an Animation Instructor at the University of Southern California and as a Student Assistant at the same institution. Matthew has also worked as an Animator at Bite Size LLC.

Matthew Steidl attended the University of Southern California from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Film and Television Production. Following that, they pursued further education at the University of Southern California from 2009 to 2012, acquiring a Master's of Fine Arts degree in Animation and Digital Arts. In July 2016, they obtained a certification in "Rigging a Quadruped in Maya" from Lynda.com.
