Graeme Thomson is an experienced Plater with a comprehensive background in welding and fabrication. Currently employed at R&M Engineering as an RA L1 Plater since March 2024, Graeme has also been with Global E&C since September 2022, working on the Claymore platform to replace deck plates and perform rope access tasks. Previous experience includes significant projects with Babcock International Group, where Graeme contributed to the Rampion and Beatrice topsides and participated in sea trials for the Prince of Wales vessel. Earlier roles with OGN Group and Bi Fab involved constructing frames for Shell and working on the Premier Oil Solan project, respectively. Graeme's career began with a four-year apprenticeship at Gray Fabrication, leading to an HNC and NVQ level 3 in welding and fabrication. Education includes studies at Adam Smith College and Balwearie High School.
