Jared Ellis

Jared Ellis is a seasoned game developer and technical designer with extensive experience in the gaming industry, currently serving as Lead Technical Designer at Nexrage Studios since May 2023, specializing in collaborative design and workflow optimization for high-quality gameplay experiences. Jared co-founded Unlimited Fries, focusing on gameplay programming for the project Grimhook, while also leading programming initiatives at theCoderSchool since November 2019. Previous roles include Senior Gameplay Programmer at Laboratory Games, where Jared designed dynamic combat mechanics, and various technical director positions at UTD Animation Lab, leveraging expertise in Unreal Engine and Python scripting. Jared's foundational experience includes user experience internships at ZeniMax Media and Gearbox Publishing, along with a solid educational background in Animation and Game Design from The University of Texas at Dallas and Collin College.
