Mike Veal is a seasoned hardware engineer with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as a Principal Hardware Engineer at Nexsan by Imation since May 2014, Mike leads a team of hardware engineers and has been instrumental in the recent release of a new disk controller. Prior to this role, Mike spent nearly 16 years at IBM as a Design Engineer, specializing in multi-gigabit serial designs, including PCIe and SAS/SATA technologies. Mike began their career at Xyratex in 1994 as a Product Quality Engineer after IBM Havant was sold following a management buyout. Mike's educational background includes studies at Southampton Institute and Solent University.
