Amanda Holly

Amanda Holly is a meteorologist currently working at Nexstar Media Group, Inc. since July 2017, where responsibilities include producing and reporting on environmental and space stories, conducting daily weather forecasts, and providing extended national hurricane coverage. Prior experience includes forecasting for WRUF-TV WUFT-TV, where Amanda contributed to weather presentations across multiple platforms and mentored new forecasters. Additional experience as a Design Engineer Intern at Spirit Aerosystems involved redesigning aircraft fuselage components, and a role as a secretary at Florida Digestive Health Specialists provided administrative support. Amanda holds a Master’s degree in Applied Meteorology from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Meteorology and Climatology from the University of Florida.
