Rufus Griscom has a long history of successful business ventures. Rufus began their career in 1997 as Chairman and CEO of Nerve.com. In 2000, they became Chairman of Spring Street Networks. In 2006, they co-founded and became CEO of Babble.com, a website and community for a new generation of parents. The company grew to more than 12 million unique users per month in its first 5 years and was acquired by The Walt Disney Company in late 2011. Griscom then became Vice President and General Manager at Babble.com, where they spent two years helping to grow the business and assisting Disney with digital strategy. In 2013, they began doing advisory work and angel investing, while also mentoring startups and helping VCs. Rufus is currently Co-Founder and CEO of Next Big Idea Club, a position they have held since 2018.
Rufus Griscom attended St. Albans School from 1978 to 1986 and then Brown University from 1986 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Society.
