Sinead FitzGibbon has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Sinead began their career in 1997 as a lead Physical Therapist at Southampton Hospital, where they managed the Hill Street outpatient location and oversaw staff education and budget management. In 2001, they co-owned and worked as a Physical Therapist at Manual and Sports Physical Therapy, specializing in evidence-based practice and individualized programs. Sinead continued in this role until 2013.
During their time at Manual and Sports Physical Therapy, FitzGibbon also worked as a Physical Therapist at the Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy Group from 2006 to 2010, where they coordinated with PTs dealing with pelvic floor issues in women's health.
In 2008, FitzGibbon joined Spokespeople, a cycling advocacy group, as a founding member. Sinead actively participated in the organization's activities until 2020. Concurrently, they also joined Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2008 as a Physical Therapist and PhD student. Sinead completed six semesters of didactic coursework and passed qualifying exams, preparing their for the dissertation phase.
In 2010, FitzGibbon founded Bikefit +, a company where they served as a cycling coach and bike fitting specialist. Sinead remained in this role until 2020.
From 2014 to 2020, FitzGibbon worked at PhysioDoc, where they initially served as the owner of the practice. Later, they transitioned to the role of a physical therapist. Additionally, they provided movement solutions as an mūvPT, offering personalized consultations for musculoskeletal health.
In 2020, FitzGibbon became a business partner at 27eastPT, a physiotherapy practice specializing in Orthopedic and Sports Medicine. Sinead played an integral role in providing complete rehabilitation services with a whole-person approach.
Most recently, in 2021, FitzGibbon joined Next Boatworks LLC as the Director of Marketing and Product Management. Additionally, they worked at NEXTboatworks.com as an Access Manager for coastal rowing boats, utilizing their expertise as a physiotherapist, coach, and trainer.
Throughout their career, FitzGibbon has demonstrated their expertise in physical therapy, business ownership, cycling coaching, and product management. Sinead'swork experience reflects their commitment to evidence-based practice, individualized care, and a holistic approach to healthcare.
Sinead FitzGibbon began their education in 1987 at UCL, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Manipulative Physiotherapy. Sinead completed this program in 1994. Sinead subsequently enrolled at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professionals in 2009 and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy in 2012.
