Anni Tolvanen

Anni Tolvanen has a diverse work experience in the fields of audio design, production, and education. Anni has worked as a Senior Audio Designer and Producer at Next Games, where they were responsible for in-house audio production and sound asset outsourcing for mobile games. Anni has also worked as a Freelance Musician, Audio Designer, and Educator for various clients, creating custom compositions, sound effects, and interactive sound designs.

At Digitalents Helsinki, Anni served as the Head of GameDev Lab, designing and implementing the strategy and service model for a startup incubator. Anni worked as a senior producer for junior game development teams and facilitated mentoring programs.

Anni worked as an Audio Designer and Social Media Manager at Reforged Studios, where they oversaw the development of a custom audio engine for a mobile game and created all assets for game audio.

Additionally, Anni has experience in teaching sound design, composition, music production, and film production at Helsingin kaupunki - Helsingfors stad - City of Helsinki. Anni has also worked as a sound design instructor and a creative producer for various projects, including a performance series and a short documentary on contemporary folk music and an e-learning pilot program for general schools in Helsinki.

Anni has also worked as a research assistant at the University of Cambridge, providing cultural analysis and professional commentary on music pedagogy and creativity.

Anni Tolvanen completed their Master of Music degree in Folk Music & Composition from the University of the Arts Helsinki in the years 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Pedagogy from Centria University of Applied Sciences between 2004 and 2009. In addition, they also studied Musicology and Ethnomusicology at the University of Tampere 1925-2018 from 2006 to 2008.
