Ian Anderson

Game Designer at Next Games

Ian Anderson has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Ian started their career as a Customer Associate - Sales at Comet in 2007 and then moved on to work as a Premier Customer Service Representative at HSBC in 2008.

In 2013, they joined ArcticStartup as a Writer, where they covered news and stories related to start-ups and entrepreneurship in the Nordic and Baltic states. Ian also had the opportunity to interview CEOs, attend conferences, and sell advertising.

Ian then worked as a Farm Hand at Mattila Farm for a brief period before joining Jakomäki Community Centre as a Project Developer in 2014. At the community center, they were involved in the construction work and the development of social outreach projects.

From 2015 to 2016, Ian was a Bass Specialist at Tuli Basses, where they collaborated with a master carpenter to establish a bass guitar company. Ian utilized Finland's unique woods to create handmade bass guitars.

In 2016, they worked as a Driver & Assistant at Fida International, collecting second-hand items and delivering purchased furniture for the charity stores.

In 2017, Ian joined Next Games, A Netflix Game Studio, initially as a Game Designer for Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales. In late 2018, they transitioned to become Our World's Live Coordinator, responsible for maintaining and updating the live game.

Throughout their career, Ian has showcased their skills in various areas such as customer service, writing, project development, and design.

Ian Anderson attended Teesside University from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Studies.
