Kirsten Price is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project and program coordination across various sectors, including government and critical communications. Currently serving as a Senior Programme Coordinator at Next Generation Critical Communications since February 2022, Kirsten previously held key roles at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, where significant contributions were made to immigration visa processing system projects. Additional experience includes working with ACC New Zealand to implement Agile methodologies, coordinating technology services in the Ministry of Justice, and managing large IT transitions at organizations such as IAG and IBM. Kirsten's background also encompasses procurement support and sales administration, highlighting a comprehensive skill set in communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement. Educational background includes attendance at Horowhenua College from 1996 to 2000.
Next Generation Critical Communications Lead Entity
The Next Generation Critical Communications Lead Entity (NGCC), Poutama Whai Tikanga Pāpāho, is the government’s leading advisor on critical communications for public safety in New Zealand. Established in 2020, the NGCC Lead Entity supports healthier, safer and more connected communities throughout New Zealand. We work with agencies and companies on programmes to enhance public safety operations through sharing innovation, developing capability and leading the implementation of change. Our team of critical communications experts and corporate professionals is responsible for the Public Safety Network Te Kupenga Marutau (PSN), one of government’s largest infrastructure initiatives. The PSN will begin to deliver modern, secure digital communications from 2023 through a new national radio network, cellular services and personal alerting for Hato Hone St John, Fire and Emergency NZ, Wellington Free Ambulance and Police.
