Poonam Desai

Dr. Poonam Desai is a Medical Director NY and Precision Medicine Physician (Anti-aging, Longevity, Hormone Optimization, Genomics) at NEXT|HEALTH since 2022. From 2013 to present, they have held various roles at multiple institutions. Dr. Poonam was a Telemedicine Provider at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital from 2013 to 2019, where they were also Academic Faculty for the emergency medicine residency program with responsibilities including supervising residents/medical students/pa students/fellows that worked/rotated in the emergency department, research projects, teaching, presentations, and speaking at conferences nationally and internationally. Dr. Poonam was an Emergency Medicine Physician at Lenox Hill Hospital from 2019 to present, and Envision from 2013 to 2019. At New York Presbyterian Queens, they were an Emergency Medicine Physician from 2013 to 2019 and Emergency Ultrasound Director from 2015 to 2019. Dr. Poonam was an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College from 2016 to present, and Director of Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship at New York-Presbyterian of Queens from 2015 to present. Dr. Poonam was also Director of Emergency Ultrasound at NEWYORK-PRESBYTERIAN QUEENS from 2015 to 2019, and a Physician Consultant at Canopy Apps from 2013 to present. Dr. Desai was an Ultrasound Fellow/Attending Physician and Emergency Medicine Resident at New York Hospital Queens from 2009 to 2013.

Dr. Poonam Desai holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) from the University of California, Los Angeles, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. Dr. Poonam also holds a Doctor's Degree from the Western University of Health Sciences, which they obtained from 2005 to 2009.
