Ken Kurtzman

Ken Kurtzman has a diverse and extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Ken currently serves as the VP of Risk and Reinsurance at Next Insurance, where they lead the risk management function and establishes a risk management framework. Ken also designs and implements qualitative and quantitative metrics for risk monitoring, reporting on the risk profile to executive management and the board.

Prior to their current role, Ken was a Principal at Green Rock LLC from 2016 to 2022. Ken has also held various positions at AmTrust Financial Services, Inc., including SVP of North America P&C insurance, where they were involved in strategy, planning, monitoring, and reporting on all P&C lines. Additionally, Ken served as the Chief Actuary for the Programs Unit.

Ken's previous experience also includes working at Platinum Re as the EVP, Chief Risk Officer, and Director of Investor Relations. In this role, they were responsible for capital modeling, risk monitoring, insurance purchasing, and rating agency relationships. Ken also played a role in strategic planning and capital management.

Earlier in their career, Ken held positions at Swiss Re Underwriters Agency Inc and Swiss Re Group. At Swiss Re Underwriters Agency Inc, they served as the Head of Casualty Underwriting, while at Swiss Re Group, they held the position of Head of Property/Casualty Group Risk Management.

Ken's expertise in the insurance industry encompasses risk management, reinsurance, pricing, and underwriting. Ken'sdiverse background and experience make him a valuable asset to any organization in the insurance sector.

Ken Kurtzman attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1985 to 1989 and earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics.
