Teodora Gouneva

Teodora Gouneva is the current Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Next Insurance. Prior to this, they served as Vice President of Finance for Homes and Experiences at Airbnb from June 2019 to December 2021. Before that, they were the Vice President of Finance and CFO for the Chief Operating Officer's organization at PayPal from March 2004 to June 2019. Her responsibilities included being a finance partner to the COO, managing the operating budget, and being in charge of global product, platform, and engineering finance, global payments processing and transaction expenses, and global risk management and transaction loss. From May 2002 to March 2004, Gouneva worked as an Associate at Lehman Brothers where they were responsible for IPO/equity/debt financing, roadshows, and mergers & acquisitions (M&A). Teodora also interned at Lehman Brothers as an MBA intern from August 2000 to December 2000. Prior to their work in investment banking, Gouneva worked as a Business Analyst at UBS from October 1998 to August 2000 and as an Analyst at Mercer Management Consulting from June 1997 to October 1998.

They are on a team with Nissim Tapiro - Co-Founder & CTO, Sivan Avihud - Global VP, People, and Jennifer Lawrence - General Counsel. Their manager is Guy Goldstein, CEO & Co-Founder.
