Ethan Sherman

Ethan Sherman, Ph.D., has extensive experience in research and development, particularly in the field of biomaterials engineering. Ethan served as the Director of Research and Development at Next Science from June 2022 onwards. Prior to that, they worked as the Principal Biomaterials Engineer at Next Science from March 2017 to July 2022. Before joining Next Science, Ethan worked at Medtronic for several years, holding positions such as Senior Biomaterials Engineer and Biomaterials Engineer. During their time at Medtronic, they led projects in medical device development, specializing in ENT applications and inventing new biomaterial devices to meet user needs.

Ethan Sherman, Ph.D., has an extensive education history in the field of engineering. Ethan completed their Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science at the University of Florida from 1997 to 2002. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Engineering, also at the University of Florida, from 2002 to 2005. Ethan further advanced their education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Florida, graduating in 2009.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Ethan Sherman has also obtained a certification as a Quality Trainer by Minitab, which they completed through Minitab Online Training in 2014.
