Next Series Club
Rene Velazco serves as the Controller at Tempus, Inc., a technology company focused on creating a comprehensive library of clinical and molecular data to enhance cancer treatment. In addition to this role, Rene is a member of the Next Series Club, engaging with financial professionals in Chicago's startup community. Rene co-founded NRV Investments LLC, contributing to Miskatonic Brewery and Great Central Brewery. With a longstanding commitment to the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago, Rene has been a member of the Board of Advisors since 2012, actively participating in events and mentoring students. Prior experience includes managerial and accounting roles at Uptake and Belly, and various positions at JPMorgan Chase, Grant Thornton LLP, Verizon Wireless, and Starlight Children's Foundation. Rene holds both an MBA in Accounting and a BBA in Finance and Information Systems from Loyola University Chicago.
