Barry Davis

Managing Partner at Next Street

One of Next Street’s Managing Partners, Barry has been involved with Next Street since its founding — first as an advisor, then an investor, then as part of the firm’s management team, and most recently helping refine and deliver the firm’s capabilities to serve impact investors.

Barry brings a wealth of experience and leadership in the financial services sector. During his 26 years at Morgan Stanley, he rose from the trading desk to the Global Equity Operating Committee. While at Morgan Stanley, he developed integrated services offerings for investors and for major clients. Postings in London and Tokyo gave him a cosmopolitan view of urban business that he now brings to Next Street.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Barry held positions at Bear Stearns & Co. and Santangelo & Co. Barry is an avid mentor of startup organizations, from professional services to agricultural solutions, and is active in several volunteer and charitable organizations in New York. As a board member of St. Vincent’s Hospital, he helped the organization through bankruptcy by engineering a merger of Saint Vincent’s Westchester facilities and Saint Joseph’s Medical Center. The combined system is the largest Catholic hospital in New York. Barry holds a B.S. in Economics from Boston College.

He currently sits on the Boards of St. Joseph’s Hospital Younkers, St. Vincent’s Hospital Westchester, in addition to serving on Next Street’s Board. He previously was a Board Member for Boston College, the School of the Holy Child, Lever, and Mold Solutions.
