Steve Cook ACMA CGMA has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Steve started their career at Direct Wines, where they held various positions over an 8-year span, including Cashier, Management Accountant, Financial Analyst, SAP Implementation Team, Project Accountant, and Finance Manager - Treasury. During this time, they were responsible for cash management, FX hedging, budgeting, and forecasting.

After working at Direct Wines, Steve joined XP Power as the European Financial Controller. In this role, they were responsible for finance operations in the UK and European offices. Steve successfully reduced the monthly reporting schedule and redesigned the management accounts pack.

Following their tenure at XP Power, Steve joined PageGroup, where they held several positions. Steve served as the Senior Financial Controller, Financial Controller, Finance Director of MPIRL, Finance Director UK and RoW, and Finance Director UK, North America, and MEA. In these roles, they were accountable for management accounting, KPI reporting, budgeting and forecasting, payroll, and adherence to group policies.

Steve's career also includes a role as the Global Process Owner for Salesforce Implementation at PageGroup, where they led the implementation of Salesforce globally and redesigned the temporary processes.

Most recently, Steve worked at Gi Group as the Chief Financial Officer for the UK&I. In this role, they were responsible for fixing and turning around the finance team, improving output, building trust in the numbers, and providing necessary support to run the business successfully. Steve achieved this through effective business partnering, strong control of figures, leadership, clear communication, and industry understanding.

Steve Cook ACMA CGMA completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics at the University of Reading from 1995 to 1998. Additionally, they obtained the ACMA CGMA certification from CIMA in the year 2003.
