Wes Qualls

Wes Qualls has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Wes is currently working as the Sr. Director of Engineering at NextDecade, where they are responsible for building and managing a team of engineers and technicians for the Next Decade Rio Grande LNG Project.

Prior to their current role, Wes Qualls owned and operated Aladdin Services LLC. Before that, they had a long tenure at ConocoPhillips, where they held various positions, including Engineering Fellow, LNG Engineering & Operations Manager, LNG Process Engineering Supervisor, LNG Startup and Operations Director, LNG Technology Licensing Director, Process Design Engineer, and Operations Engineer. During their time at ConocoPhillips, Wes Qualls led technology development efforts, managed teams, developed procedures and specifications, and played a key role in the design, commissioning, startup, and post-startup operations of multiple LNG facilities.

Wes also gained experience at MW Kellogg as a Process Systems Engineer, where they were responsible for hydraulic analysis, design, and the development of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for ethylene facilities.

Overall, Wes Qualls has demonstrated expertise in various aspects of engineering, operations, technology development, and project management in the LNG industry.

Wes Qualls attended Texas A&M University from 1982 to 1988. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical & Mechanical Engineering.
