Aaron Sarnoff

Aaron Sarnoff has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Aaron started their career as a Programming Intern at Sony Pictures Imageworks in 2004, where they worked on various projects and gained skills in languages such as Flash ActionScript, Perl, Python, and JSP. Aaron then interned as a Production Assistant at Sony Pictures Imageworks in 2005 and 2006, where they broke down scripts, indexed elements, and set up motion capture stages.

In 2009, Aaron worked as a Software Developer at IncentAlign before moving on to Stanford University, where they served as a CS106 Section Leader. In this role, they worked with a small section of students, grading assignments, and providing personalized feedback.

Aaron joined Tapulous as an iPhone Games Engineer in 2010 before transitioning to Facebook in 2011. At Facebook, they initially worked as a Software Engineer, contributing to early product features for Android Messenger. Aaron later became the Head of Growth, Engagement, & Emerging Markets Engineering for Messenger, building and leading a team of 50+ engineers. In this role, they focused on driving core growth metrics and fostering a culture of data-driven decision making. Aaron built teams around the growth lifecycle, key product features, and new products.

Most recently, Aaron joined Nextdoor in 2019 as the Head of Engineering, Growth.

Aaron Sarnoff attended Stanford University from 2007 to 2011. Aaron graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
