Christopher Desir

Christopher Desir has extensive work experience in various roles within the finance and strategy field. Christopher currently works as the Finance & Strategy Lead - Local Business & Public Agencies at Nextdoor since April 2020. Prior to this, Christopher worked as an Independent Consultant, serving as a Startup Advisor from January 2017. From January 2018 to February 2019, they held the position of Head of Corporate Development and Strategy at Handy HQ. Christopher also worked at IAC from May 2015 to December 2016 as the Senior Director of Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategy, specializing in the consumer Internet sector and marketplace businesses. Christopher worked as part of the Corporate Restructuring Advisory team at Lazard from August 2011 to April 2015, where they assisted companies on corporate restructurings in turnaround, distressed, and transformational situations. Prior to Lazard, Christopher worked in Private Equity Investing at Permira Advisers for a brief period in 2010. Christopher also gained experience in Technology & Media Private Equity Investing at Elevation Partners from August 2007 to July 2009. Christopher'scareer began at Morgan Stanley from July 2004 to July 2007, where they worked in Mergers & Acquisitions Investment Banking and later in Consumer & Retail Investment Banking.

Christopher Desir attended Dwight-Englewood School from 1996 to 2000. Christopher then went on to The Johns Hopkins University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from 2000 to 2004. Lastly, from 2009 to 2011, Christopher attended Harvard Business School and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
