Erica Jin

Erica Jin has a strong background in data science and research. Erica is currently working at Nextdoor as a Senior Data Scientist. Prior to that, they worked at LinkedIn in the same role from June 2020 to June 2021. Erica also has experience as a Data Scientist at Oracle, where they developed new product features and improved the quality of digital audiences, among other responsibilities. Before that, they were a Quantitative Researcher at The Wharton School from August 2013 to May 2017. Erica also worked as a Data Analyst at Kauffman Foundation and as a Marketing Research Analyst Intern at Intel Corporation. Erica gained sales and marketing experience as a volunteer for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and Paralympics. Throughout their career, Erica has utilized a range of technical skills including Python, SQL, Spark, and AWS.

Erica Jin earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of International Business and Economics, completing their studies from 2007 to 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they pursued a Master's degree in Management at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business. Erica then enrolled at The Wharton School, where they earned a Master's degree in Statistics between 2016 and 2018. During this time, they also worked towards completing a PhD in Accounting, becoming a PhD Candidate - ABD at The Wharton School from 2013 to 2018.

In terms of additional certifications, Erica obtained various qualifications from LinkedIn. In July 2020, they completed a certification titled "The Practices of High-Performing Employees." Afterwards, in October 2022, they obtained certifications in "What Is Web3?" and "Product Management: Building a Product Roadmap." In January 2023, Erica secured certifications in "Data Visualization: Storytelling" and "Telling Stories with Data." Their most recent certification, "Data Engineering Foundations," was obtained in April 2023.
