Peter Samak

Peter Samak has a diverse and impressive work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Peter began their career as a Senior Strategy Consultant at BearingPoint, where they managed corporate strategy projects for mobile, fixed-line, and satellite operators and provided advice on market entry strategies and regulatory issues. From there, they joined CitiKey, Mobile Location Based Services as the Director of Business Development & European Roll-Out.

After that, Peter joined Webraska as the Director of Business Development, where they established reseller agreements with tech vendors and launched consumer-facing map-based services. Peter then moved on to 118218, where they served as the Director of Product Management and later became the Managing Director. In these roles, they led and scaled the group's daily deal site, launched France's leading Directory Assistance service, and achieved significant market share and revenues.

Peter's next career move was to PayPal, where they held several senior leadership positions. As the Director of Product Management for Continental Europe, Middle East & Africa, they developed innovative financial solutions and significantly increased annual revenue. Peter also led the global product management team responsible for global expansion and cross-border trade, as well as the product groups for account creation & onboarding, the PayPal.com website, the Value-Added Services Platform, and the MarTech platform.

After PayPal, Peter joined Intuit as the Director of Product Management, where they were in charge of the premium product QuickBooks Online for Accountants. Peter delivered key initiatives, entered new global markets, and managed a product line with revenue exceeding $1 billion.

Currently, Peter is working at Nextdoor, where they hold two key roles. As the Head of Operational Excellence, they lead strategic initiatives to help Nextdoor scale efficiently, including cloud financial management and SaaS procurement. Peter is also responsible for OKR management, board preparation, and supporting Nextdoor's listing on NYSE. Additionally, as the Head of International, they have led the expansion into new markets, developed strategic frameworks, and managed the launch of Nextdoor in Canada.

Peter Samak has a diverse education history. In 2023, they attended the Yale School of Management, where they pursued a degree in Corporate Climate Change Risk Management. Prior to that, it is unknown when exactly they attended the ESCP Business School, but they obtained a Master in Science, Diplome de Grande Ecole, Masters in Management, Diplom-Kaufmann with a focus on Technology and Marketing.
