Yulia Astakhova

Yulia Astakhova has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Yulia is currently working as a Software Engineer at Nextdoor, where they are involved in building a community platform that promotes inclusivity and diversity. Prior to that, Yulia was a Technical Founder at Consensual, a platform designed to simplify day-to-day agreements and facilitate negotiation and tracking processes. Yulia successfully developed a proof of concept and prototype website for the platform. Yulia also worked at LinkedIn for several years, first as a Senior Software Engineer for Linkedin Learning, where they focused on merging courses from Lynda.com and improving user experience through recommendations and enriched data. Later, they joined the Product Security Team, where they contributed to projects related to data privacy, abuse prevention, and security infrastructure. Yulia began their career at Yandex, where they held various software developer roles, including being a Lead Developer for Yandex.Rabota and developing internal CMS systems for Yandex.Auto and Yandex.Market.

Yulia Astakhova completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree from the Saint Petersburg State University of Aerospace and Instrumentation between the years 2002 and 2007.
