Tony Unger

Tony Unger is an experienced IT and cybersecurity professional currently serving as Group Head of IT & Security (CTO CISO) at NextEnergy Group, NextEnergy Capital, and WiseEnergy since June and July 2021, respectively. Previously, Tony held the role of Information Security Consultant at Buckinghamshire New University, focusing on enhancing cyber activities, and has extensive freelance experience as a Cyber Security Consultant since 2010. Notably, Tony was the Information Security Officer for the Institution of Engineering and Technology, where a comprehensive information and cyber security program was developed, achieving compliance within five years. Educational qualifications include a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BTEC Diploma in Computing and IT from Barnfield Technology College.
